How A Candidiasis Diet Can Help You
A candidiasis diet may be for your if you think you have an excess of yeast production in the intestines and stomach that your body can not cope with. The symptoms may comprise bloating, flatulence, constipation, tiredness and headaches. Yeast infections are typically found on the moist body surfaces such as the mouth, vagina and intestines. In the mouth or the vagina, you are likely to observe redness and have some itching. If you ignore the problem, you will find that an over production of yeast will continue to affect your general health and impact on other disorders you may have such as IBS, asthma, migraines among others.
Changing to a candida diet, you will deprive the yeast of what it needs to flourish. So, what are the foods you need to reduce your intake of, or even cut out altogether? The problem foods are those that develop yeast production and should be avoided are processed and sugary foods. Also, you should cut out anything that contains yeast (e.g. bread, cakes, wheat pasta), or that involves the use of mold and fermentation in its production such as cheeses and alcohol. Many of these foods convert into sugar in the body and this then feeds the yeast fungus in the stomach.
If this sounds like there may be nothing left to eat, don’t worry! A candidiasis diet can be quite varied – just different, and you may need to be a bit more creative. There are always different options available in the supermarket as this is a very common problem because of the increase in our consumption of highly processed foods. The secret to coping, is to find out as much information as possible, then to sit down and work out what you can and can’t have. Buy a book, search the Internet for recipes and you will be amazed at what you can eat. Avoiding the foods that are making you feel ill will certainly change the way you feel about everything, so it will be worth it.
You would have been asleep for a few years if you had not heard about the benefits of healthy eating, a diet for candida is certainly a healthy one. You will move away from unprocessed foods and towards more beans, vegetables, whole grains, unprocessed meat and eggs.
Probably no surprise, but you should take more exercise, as that seems to be recommended for everything these days! However, following this type of eating plan will make exercise much easier as you will have more energy.
If you think you may have a yeast infection, try a candida diet for a couple of weeks and see if your symptoms improve. As always, you should consult your physician if you require any medication.
